2010 Foundation Award
"The Most
Senior-Friendly City:
Motivation, Integration and Support"
The "Lebendige Stadt" Foundation
calls on all European cities,
municipalities, urban planners,
institutions, associations, operators of
residential properties for senior
citizens and similar organizations to
enter for the 2010 Foundation Award.
The award is open to concepts that
make it easier for senior citizens to
participate in public life, provide
services and facilities for seniors and
promote cross-generational communication
and interaction.
The concept or project in question may
already have been completed or may be
scheduled for implementation in the near
future. In keeping with the basic
philosophy of the Foundation to promote
best practice examples that can serve as
models for other municipalities,
particular importance is attached to
innovative and cost-efficient solutions
that make a lasting contribution to
ensuring that our cities and
municipalities are more senior-friendly.
The award carries a total cash prize
of € 15,000. The award is supported by
"Deutsche Bahn AG".
